Christy Hermansen is the Design Lead for the Integrated Award Environment (IAE) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service. She is the creative driving force behind the conceptualization of the future SAM.gov. The vision of SAM.gov is a single federal ecosystem integrating functionality originally from ten systems used by people who make, receive and track federal awards. Christy also serves as the voice of the customer, incorporating customer feedback into all aspects of design. Prior to joining GSA Christy worked in industry for more than 20 years as a software designer, engineer, and architect bringing systems, ideas, and people together.
