Why Your Gov Prize Competition Needs A Communication Strategy

Why Your Gov Prize Competition Needs A Communication Strategy

September 16 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
An illustration of a team of figures working together with puzzle pieces

WEBINAR Prize competitions and challenges don’t advertise themselves. In fact, in order to maximize the solvers, and therefore the chances of getting a great solution, you need a carefully planned communications strategy. All too often government agencies run challenges with a “build it and they will come” mindset, or implement a challenge as a tactic of PR. But prizes and challenges need their own PR.

How to Recover from a Social Media Crisis

September 25 @ 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM
The words "Don't Panic" are written in black marker on a red folder.

WEBINAR The ability to share messages in an instant is one of great advantages of social media, but the pace can also leave us open to error. Incorrect information or messages that offend can threaten our credibility with stakeholders. Yet, steering off course should not be cause for deleting your Facebook page or hanging up your Twitter handle. Join us for a webinar where we'll discuss why every agency needs a crisis plan.

Get Your Mobile Compatibility Testing Here! All About the Federal CrowdSource Mobile Testing Program

September 25 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Various mobile devices used to crowdsource test an app.

WEBINAR Your agency just created a responsive web design prototype and now you’re ready to get some feedback. Problem: you only have 3 or 4 devices at your disposal and not the hundreds on the market (not to mention the various operating systems on each of these devices). Since 2013, the DigitalGov Federal Crowdsource Mobile Testing Program has provided agencies with the opportunity to have federal employees test mobile websites (and even prototypes) on multiple mobile devices (and those various operating systems). Come hear the benefits of participating in the program from David Fern, SSA, who serves as the testing director, as well as volunteer testers and agency program managers who have had their mobile web prototypes tested.
