Fine for Feds but once again local governments get hosed by social media companies. Local social media so much more relevant than giant federal agencies to create a government wide system for all levels. Guess no one cares and that’s unfortunate. Federal ain’t the only game in town. #fedbias

The Registry is open sourced, and can be replicated for anyone to use Mark! Also, just to clarify, its potential isn’t limited to Facebook — any developer or citizen can use it to verify accounts!

    Justin,

How would I go about requesting accounts to be added to the registry?

  3. Chris says:

What kind of sick-o posts a fake emergency alert? Geez. What has this world wide web come to?

  4. Scott says:

It says “If you work for the federal government and have a .gov or .mil e-mail address, you can register official U.S. federal accounts”

That doesn’t necessarily mean local government is forgotten or not done.
